Judgment Until Repentance, 9/4/17

There is an important difference between a word from the Lord that God may give to a prophet and what that prophet may say subjectively out of his own soul. There is a relatively young prophet who has recently become very popular. He often says, not by the spirit but subjectively, "God is not judging America but only the church and the systems of America." This man is a wonderful brother and I appreciate him very much. His prophecies are from God and we need to respect that. But that does not mean that every word he says is from God. The fact is he does not understand how God uses judgments. There are different levels of judgment and judgment is not necessarily annihilation and total destruction, the latter is the Wrath of God. Most judgments are not the wrath of God and they do not come from God hating people. God is acting out of LOVE when he uses judgments to correct and teach men how to live right:

Isaiah 26:9 New King James Version (NKJV)

9 ...For when Your judgments are in the earth, The inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.

So if we are right with God we should not fear judgments and think that they are some horrible thing that is happening because God is mad at us. God LOVES America and he IS judging America. Hurricane Harvey is very obvious proof of that fact and look at how few people died. God spared life but acted in a way that will teach men to live better if they humble themselves. God IS judging America BECAUSE he loves us and is working to help us turn from living in a self-destructive way and learn to live righteously. Because God loves this nation so much he will keep judging us until we have repented adequately and begun to live righteously. Then the good things that this man prophesies for the future can happen. But they cannot happen until there is adequate repentance. And as proud and stiff-necked a people as we are in America, that will not happen unless we are judged adequately to teach us righteousness. So praise God for his judgments that will put us on the path to life:

Psalm 96:11-13 New King James Version (NKJV)

11 Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; Let the sea roar, and all its fullness; 12 Let the field be joyful, and all that is in it. Then all the trees of the woods will rejoice before the Lord. 13 For He is coming, for He is coming to judge the earth. He shall judge the world with righteousness, And the peoples with His truth.
