Goodness of Judgments, 6/8/15

Psalm 98:4-9 New King James Version (NKJV)

4

Shout joyfully to the Lord, all the earth;

Break forth in song, rejoice, and sing praises.

5

Sing to the Lord with the harp,

With the harp and the sound of a psalm,

6

With trumpets and the sound of a horn;

Shout joyfully before the Lord, the King.

7

Let the sea roar, and all its fullness,

The world and those who dwell in it;

8

Let the rivers clap their hands;

Let the hills be joyful together before the Lord,

9

For He is coming to judge the earth.

With righteousness He shall judge the world,

And the peoples with equity.

This is not to say that we should be flippant about the judgments or heartless to those who will be hardest hit by them or to not fear God and do all we can to come under his authority to avoid being touched by the judgments. However it is to say that we can rejoice to know that our God's purposes will prevail despite the waywardness of fallen man. The more we are ready to face the judgments because we are in line with God's will, the more we can rejoice.

So if you are in the center of God's will for you then rejoice that the judgments are coming to America!! If you are not then repent and strive to get here which there is still time. If you do not know Jesus personally then pray this Prayer To Receive Eternal Salvation today. And if you know him but are not serving him with a whole heart then pray this Prayer Of Consecration today.

Bless you and may you be found safe in him in the fearsome time ahead.

Many do not understand that the judgment of God are a good thing, a very good thing. They see the destruction that happens and do not know how to perceive the goodness that is in the heart of God in bringing judgements. But God is always good even when he is angry at sin and his temporary, partial destructions are always brought with the aim for greater good in the big picture in the long term. God is a loving father who wants to teach his people how to live righteously so that life and blessing abound and death and cursing die. So he send judgments to teach us righteousness:

Isaiah 26:9 New King James Version (NKJV)

9 With my soul I have desired You in the night,

Yes, by my spirit within me I will seek You early;

For when Your judgments are in the earth,

The inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.

Unless we are so badly out of line with God that he needs to kill us to stop us from doing any more damage, or unless we harden our hearts and rebel against his correction, we can expect that his judgments will only serve to bring us back into the proper alignment with him that should be our heart's desire anyway. Plus, if we love the Lord we are in agreement with him that his purposes and plans prevail in the earth anyway and we want the judgments because we want the correction unto holy living. So thus we can take a joyful attitude that his judgments are coming into the earth:

Psalm 96:11-13 New King James Version (NKJV)

11

Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad;

Let the sea roar, and all its fullness;

12

Let the field be joyful, and all that is in it.

Then all the trees of the woods will rejoice before the Lord.

13

For He is coming, for He is coming to judge the earth.

He shall judge the world with righteousness,

And the peoples with His truth.
