Our Father

Father, I thank you

I thank you for the day, a Mother's Day

Years ago, when despite my trouble

You led me to pick flowers

Pretty, simple, easy to find

Wildflowers, lovely, of your hand

To present to my dear mother

I thank you

And Father, I also thank you

As I present her and myself

Before your awesome throne

That you carry us again

With comfort, endurance and wisdom

Through another dark hour

Soothe my Mom and caress her

Cuddle me up into your powerful arms

Help us to love ourselves as you do

Bring many around us

Who will love us as you say we deserve
