I have been trying to help Americans see the direness of our condition in
America and to help us move to repent but I sense no healthy reaction
from hardly any of us. But calamity is at the door and although it cannot be
avoided now because we have waited to long we can still begin to repent
and move in the right direction if we will but humble ourselves. Please
read this account from the scripture on how God will relent in his judgements if people will truly repent and turn from sin:
Jonah 3:4-10New King James Version (NKJV)
4 And Jonah began to enter the city on the first day’s walk. Then he
cried out and said, “Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown!” 5
So the people of Nineveh believed God, proclaimed a fast, and put on
sackcloth, from the greatest to the least of them. 6 Then word came to
the king of Nineveh; and he arose from his throne and laid aside his
robe, covered himself with sackcloth and sat in ashes. 7 And he caused
it to be proclaimed and published throughout Nineveh by the decree of
the king and his nobles, saying: Let neither man nor beast, herd nor
flock, taste anything; do not let them eat, or drink water. 8 But let
man and beast be covered with sackcloth, and cry mightily to God; yes,
let every one turn from his evil way and from the violence that is in
his hands. 9 Who can tell if God will turn and relent, and turn away
from His fierce anger, so that we may not perish? 10 Then God saw their
works, that they turned from their evil way; and God relented from the
disaster that He had said He would bring upon them, and He did not do
it.
But we need to know that there is nothing that can be done
for us if we will not turn to God with all our heart whether we are
a believer in Jesus already or not. If you are not a believer in the
Lord Jesus as God in the flesh and as your Savior and Lord then give
your heart to him today. And if you are a believer it is important you
not deceive yourself hat you will be okay because you belong to God, you
need to understand this:
1 Peter 4:17New King James Version (NKJV)
17 For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and
if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not
obey the gospel of God?
Judgment STARTS WITH BELIEVERS , when
God judges people he judges his children first. So do not be deceived,
just believing in God will not save you from judgment. The bible says:
James 2:19
You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble!
Only holiness and preparation will help you escape judgment. Many
many christians are about to die the in the coming judgments of God,
believers who thought they were okay but were self-deceived. This word
applies to believers as well as non-beilveers:
Hebrews 10:31
It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
And many who have waited too long to put their trust in God will be
swept into eternity in hell, with no hope of rescue. Please please
repent dear friends, God loves you and is eager to help, but only total
submission to him will save you through what is coming.
