Baptism Of Fire, 11/14/14


One of the ways God often speaks to me prophetically is by showing me a scene from a movie I have seen in the past. It is generally easy to tell it is him talking because the scene will come out of nowhere when I was not thinking that way at all. Often I get the message that way but sometimes I am slow on the uptake. Such was the case with this one.

For two or three days I had been seeing images from a modern western called "Seraphim Falls", starring Liam Neeson and Pierce Brosnan. For some reason, it took me a couple of days to realize it was the Lord speaking. But when I finally got it the message was instantly recognizable and very welcome. This is a confirmation of a very important prophecy that has been released over body of Christ in America and Britain. It is something I have been praying for for over a year. THE SERAPHIM ARE COMING!!

I am by no means the first to hear this and I very much yield to the authority of Neville Johnson, whom I consider to be the greatest prophet in the world, on this because he has been prophesying it for years(Seraphim/Baptism of Fire).  Ian Clayton is another excellent source of teaching on the Seraphim. 

The seraphim, spirits of godly burning, are coming to minister the fire of God to those who will let them do so, to burn off the impurities and heal us and make us fit vessels for the work of the Kingdom of God in the very challenging times ahead. The seraphim will be doing to us the same thing they did to Isaiah when they appeared in scripture long ago:

Isaiah 6:6-7 New King James Version (NKJV)
6 Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a live coal which he had taken with the tongs from the altar. 7 And he touched my mouth with it, and said:
“Behold, this has touched your lips;
Your iniquity is taken away,
And your sin purged.”

This is very happy news indeed! I believe that it will begin to happen quite soon in portions of the body of Christ who are moving with God adequately. I say this because I have noticed a pattern of God giving me a prophetic message of something I already know about from the ministry of true prophets in much authority in the church. Having already heard it from the prophet I already know it is coming but it seems that God will say it again to me personally when its time is near. This will most definitely not happen in just any church and may even happen in the streets or homes or public places. It will not automatically happen to just anyone who calls himself a christian but is offered to anyone who truly wants it, especially those who are already seeking God with all their hearts.

This is momentous thing for the church in America. We need this desperately. This fire the seraphim bear is vital to life in the Lord as it is designed to be. The baptism of fire came along with the baptism of the Holy Spirit in Acts 2 at the birth of the church:

2 When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord[a] in one place. 2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3 Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Many do not understand that there were two different baptisms taking place here: both the baptism of the Spirit AND the baptism of fire.  We have had the bapitsm of the Holy Spirit for the last hundred years or so but for a very long time in the body of Christ in America we have been receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit but no fire. Many have been under the false assumption that they have also received the fire because they have received the baptism of the Spirit, but this is not so. They are two separate baptisms that happened at the same time in Acts 2 but can be received independently of one another.

This fire will, if we allow it, do a very deep cleansing work in us and bring the death of many things of ourselves that we have been hanging onto. It will also totally eradicate any demonic attachments. Like I said, we need it desperately.

For us to become a candidate to pass the through the fire and be made so much more like Jesus we just need open to our hearts to it, become willing to let go of things we have treasured in order to have more of God, and begin to consistently and sincerely ask God to allow us to stand the fire. We will be glad we did. I cannot tell you how much I personally am looking forward to it, for the fire is part of God's very nature:

Exodus 24:17
The sight of the glory of the Lord was like a consuming fire on the top of the mountain in the eyes of the children of Israel.

Deuteronomy 4:24
For the Lord your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God.

Deuteronomy 9:3
Therefore understand today that the Lord your God is He who goes over before you as a consuming fire...

Hebrews 12:29
For our God is a consuming fire.

So let's let him consume us!! He only wants to do us good and he will not take anything for us unless we let him but if we do he will only give us something better in return. God bless you!
