Prayer For Jerusalem, 8/18/15

Since whoever blesses Israel is blessed then it behooves us, no matter where we are, to pray for Jerusalem. It will bring blessing to us and our nation.

(PRAYER)Most Gracious Heavenly Father, you have told us in your word to pray for the peace of Jerusalem:

Psalm 122:6-8 New King James Version (NKJV)
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:
“May they prosper who love you.
Peace be within your walls,
Prosperity within your palaces.”
For the sake of my brethren and companions,
I will now say, “Peace be within you.”

In this time of distress now in your holy land, with the coming war that your prophets have spoken will soon come to pass there, we pray for your peace to visit your land Israel, your city Jerusalem and your people the descendants of Abraham. Thank you for your love for them. We cry out to you to send Michael and his finest warring host to fight for them. We pray you make the casualties of the coming war as few as possible. We repent on behalf of our  nation for our past abandonment and betrayal of Israel. We thank you that you will be merciful but stern and just in your judgments of us as a nation for our cursing of Israel so that we might repent and live righteously:

Isaiah 26:9 New King James Version (NKJV)
9 ...For when Your judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.

And for those who have been obedient, we thank you for your promise of prosperity for obeying your command to pray for your city.

Thank you Abba Father. Amen.
