Repentance

        Will I ever repent?
Will I ever weep?
Will I ever break before you?
In godly sorrow for my sins
Against you, against myself and others
Can I be yet saved again
Forever this time
Please, God, please
Is my sonship a permanent one?
What about Jose?
What about what you told him?
That he could go so far
That you could not help him
Did you mean hell?
Or just a wasted life?
But still in your grace, your mercy
Welcomed into your arms at the last
You said I would be great for you
You said it, not I
Kill my flesh, break me
Somehow, spare me
Give me breath until the day
I come around to reality
To acknowledge my wrongs
And be returned to you again
