The Trick Of Death

What is a secret?
Why is a secret?
What does it do?
A secret protects from pain, right?
No, a secret is a salve on a cancer
A false mask over the pain
So the cancer grows
It then pervades all
Still the secret merely hides the pain
Pain that needs to be cut out, released
But the knife will hurt too deeply, right?
No, the knife will save
The blade will excise
The blade will bring the pain of life
Removing the malignancy
Bringing rebirth
But the secret can only lead to death
The cancer will kill if left unchecked
It is the secret that holds off the healing
The secret is death itself
